How's my driving?

Basically, I'm very new to this game (obviously). Not only that, however, but I am new to the whole journal-RP format as a whole, as well as first-person posting. So, I am looking for feedback on how well I'm doing. Am I making it difficult for your characters to tag my posts? Am I not following the format well-enough?

What can I do to improve? Whether it's writing style, bracket formats, dialogue, etc... Any comments or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated, as I'm so paranoid of screwing up the vibe y'all obviously have working and going well for you as of now. :x
